Dual UV-C Lamp / UV-C LED Wavelength Mix
UV-C light eliminates microbes by killing microbial DNA. Each virus and bacteria has a particular wavelength of UV-C light that destroys it most effectively.
Mundus Pros's UV-C lamps are tuned to the germicidal peak wavelength of 254 nm. Most common germs are eliminated at this wavelength, including Streptococcus pyogenes, Aspergillus niger, and Candida albicans.
The germicidal peak wavelength can't kill everything, however. Destroying microbes resistant to the light emitted by UV-C lamps — E. coli, for example — requires a higher UV-C wavelength source. Mundus Pro's UV-C LEDs, turned to 275 nm, kill these other germs.
The dual UV-C lamp / UV-C LED wavelength mix exerts immense light pressure on the surface microorganisms inside the chamber, over 4W of pressure total. Together with ozone and titanium dioxide, that translates to an optimized microbe-killing environment.
